MXP4 – Interactive Music Format says “Play With It”
Cats: Music Culture, Music Promotion|
By James Pew
Another interactive music format comes from MXP4. In their words “MXP4 Powers New Interactive Listening and Personalized PlayBack Experiences.” The MXP4 allows music fans to remix different elements of songs on the fly.
Here’s the MXP4 widget for the new Michael Jackson “The Stripped Mixes” release. I honestly found it kind of awesome being able to mess with the arrangement – like soloing the vocal and dropping the other musical elements in whenever you like. Its cool to deconstruct how music is put together. In this case I really enjoyed listening to “I Want You Back” in various combination’s, Vocals/strings/piano, then vocals/bass/ drums, etc.
