Building Web Presence Via Youtube: How Many Views?!
Cats: Music Business, Music Promotion, Oddities|

This might not be an example of an artist making it on Youtube, but it is an example of how creating (or covering) something funny will get you exposure – over 1.1 million views as of this writing. Also it’s 100% awesome. Especially if you grew up watching He-Man on saturday mornings. The song is a remix of 4 Non Blondes – What’s Up
For more He-man, check out BoHeman Rhapsody on Youtube, another silly He-man music video with 870k views.
If you missed the comments on my last post about Youtube presence, a big thanks goes out to Suzanne Lainson, who recommended checking out Danielle. Take a look at her web presence: It’s easy to navigate, has samples of music, links to Youtube videos for a more face-to-face experience, and a place to give her your money.
In Suzanne’s words, “She’s posted a combination of her own material, and covers. She had an international following before a lot people in Colorado knew who she was.”
Check her Youtube channel out.
Thanks for the heads up, Suzanne!

As a guitarist and teacher I have 657,000 views of various lessons that I have built over time (not instantly).
Note that this doesn’t necessarily lead to either fame or fortune.

I know views are not an instant guarantee of success, but I don’t think they’re a bad thing either
