Thounds…a home for your Music Thoughts
Cats: Music Culture, Music Production, Music Promotion|

Thounds (a cross between thoughts and sounds) is a new music platform that is built on a social network framework. The platform allows artists to record minute-long audio samples using the Thounds recorder. Recording can be done using real instruments or a built-in computer microphone and a metronome is featured on the Thounds recorder, which allows users to stay on time.
This makes it easy for artists across the globe to add their musical thoughts to the original audio sample, which is another feature of Thounds. Collaborators can also find and communicate with other artists using an internal search engine.
In the near future, artists will also be able to take finished musical works and publish them onto their blogs, MySpace, Facebook, and possibly other social networking sites. There are also plans for an iPhone application for Thounds that will allow artists to collaborate in real time, anywhere in the world.
Enjoy the video promo.
