NOW Magazine has posted their picks for the top entertainers in Toronto, and hip hop heads took the top honors in 2 categories.

You all know Kardinal, yes? And you’ve probably heard of Cale Sampson by now (if not, get on the ball!). Kardi has been crowned top male vocalist, while Sampson (an independent rapper & member of TO’s underground overlords Rhythmicru) got the top songwriter title.

Top band was Broken Social Scene (understandably), while top female vocalist went to Daniela Nardi (who also took the Smooth Jazz Award for Female Vocalist of the Year for 09).
