10 Best Practices of Online Music Promotion

Breaking the scene can be a difficult task. It takes a lot of effort, and knowledge, that’s why we here at Studio Manifesto are always looking for things to help indie artists.
This guide is the perfect starting point for any indie artist/band, it details some of the required steps to getting noticed.
The two biggest underlying points are:
- Internet Presense
- Fan Involvement
These are required in today’s music industry, and they can give you a huge boost over those who don’t use them.
As always, good luck, and have fun.
Get your music streaming : If you want people to get into your music, they need to be able to hear it. Get your entire catalogue up at Last.fm, load those songs on MySpace, make sure iMeem and iLike have your tunes, find out what services people are using in the regions you want to be heard and make sure those people have easy free access to your catalog. No one’s going to fall in love with thirty second tidbits, and if you’ve got a great song, people will want to know if the rest of your stuff is as good. Let them listen.

To promote a music band and may be yours, you need a really good promotion plan. To ensure that you have the best promotion plan, you would have to go online and search for proper sales and marketing techniques for bands and musicians.
