Metal Monday: Apocalyptica
Cats: Music Culture, Oddities|By: Connor
In the vein of last weeks Classical Metal, I present to you: Apocalyptica. Instead of classical music with metal instruments, metal music with classical instruments! While they’ve been around for a while and mostly cover metallica songs, Apocalyptica is a pretty awesome band which you should check out.
From their Wikipedia page:
Apocalyptica is a Finnish rock band from Helsinki, Finland, formed in 1993. The band is composed of classically trained cellists and, since 2003, a drummer. Three of the cellists are graduates of the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki, Finland. Their music features elements from classical music, neo-classical metal, symphonic metal and thrash metal.
