Indie Maximum Exposure List
Cats: Music Business, Music Culture, Music Promotion|
By Mike Skelton
About a month ago, Billboard released a 2009 Maximum Exposure List, which intended to provide bands with advice on how to better promote themselves and obtain publicity.
Ariel Hyatt, founder of Ariel Publicity & Cyber PR, didn’t seem to think the advice (including performances on the Oprah Winfrey and a cover story on the Rolling Stone) applied to indie artists. She decided to create an Indie Maximum Exposure List with the help of artists and other knowledgeable people in the music industry.
This list is a must read for independent artists, managers, and anyone working with bands. This list includes many elements that are a part of Euphonic Sound’s Studio 2.0 package, which incorporates many of the same philosophies as the contributors of the Indie Maximum Exposure List, which you should now download.
